The first module of the exascale supercomputer JUPITER, named JEDI, is ranked first place in the Green500 list of the most energy-efficient supercomputers worldwide.
Forschungszentrum Jülich and Eviden have agreed on the delivery of a modular data centre for the JUPITER supercomputer. JUPITER will be the first ExaFlop system in Europe and consists of two modules: a booster module with NVIDIA GPUs and a cluster module. The data centre consists of around 50 containers and offers lower costs and more flexibility. It will be installed in 2024.
How European is the first ExaScale computer JUPITER, which will go into operation in 2024, really?
Panel discussion on the challenges and solutions involved in developing the first European ExaFlop supercomputer JUPITER.
High-performance computing (supercomputing) requires supercomputers with extremely high computing power. Our glossary introduces the most important terms.
A German-French consortium comprising of ParTec and Eviden, announce a contract with European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) to provide the very first Exascale supercomputer in Europe.
ParTec AG specialises in the development and manufacture of AI supercomputers based on its modular high-performance computing (HPC) systems and quantum computers (QC) as well as the associated system software. The offering also includes consulting and support services in all areas of the development, construction and operation of these modern systems. The concept of dynamic modular system architecture (dMSA) is the result of more than ten years of research and was developed by ParTec as a novel system design for massively parallel high computing systems. The dMSA and the underlying ParaStation Modulo Software Suite, which was developed and is maintained by ParTec, have proven to be particularly suitable for the complex requirements of massive computing power in artificial intelligence.
